The Edson steering gear, 8" sheaves bolted to welded 1/4" steel, with an 18" bronze quadrant. Again, some tricky and tedious engineering, much of it done years ago prior to the original sandblasting. (Remember I didn't want to do any welding after final blasting and painting). When final assembly finally came, it went together very well, is strong like bull, and steers the boat effortlessly, at least under power. Next
